The Absolute Beginner’s Guide to Building a Career in Fitness

People often believe that the fitness industry is quite lucrative and, therefore, it is very simple to succeed financially in this industry.

From time to time, we receive queries regarding building a career in fitness. Recently, two of our followers (Sohrab Sheikh and Dr Puja V Lulla) also send us queries on similar lines. So, we thought of covering this topic in detail in today’s newsletter.

Any person can begin a career in fitness after completing their 10+2. It is important to understand that a college degree from any particular discipline is not required to work as a professional in the fitness profession.

You can pursue any certification or diploma structured courses in nutrition and exercise or hybrid (including the courses provided by INFS). It is essential to understand the key concepts that will help you become a good fitness professional.

Yet, even when you start practicing, you must continue learning as much as you can from experts and through current research, regardless of the qualification you get before starting your career.

Knowledge alone is not enough. You need to work on your skills as well.

The initial secret is reaching out to as many people as you can and attempting to establish a little group you can later monetize.

You may achieve this in a number of ways, like by establishing a Facebook group or by offering some of your services for free to your friends, family, and neighbors in order to build a solid reputation and attract future paid clients through word-of-mouth marketing.

After you have a solid foundation under you, you can concentrate on building your brand and beginning to make a good living coaching.

Hope this gives you a basic idea of getting started in the fitness sector. If you have any specific questions, feel free to send them across.
