Sometimes, the hardest battles we fight are the ones no one sees. The ones that happen quietly, inside our own minds and bodies, where self-doubt creeps in louder than encouragement, and every small step feels like climbing a mountain.
INFS scholar Priyanka Kumawat’s story is one such journey…. a journey that proves strength isn’t given, it’s discovered, nurtured, and fought for.
Fighting the Mindset, and Her Health
Growing up, Priyanka was always lean, so lean that people often mocked her with words like “Lakdi hai tu” (you look like a stick). Those words stung more than she let on.
Moving to a new city for her corporate career, she was already struggling with her health. Low blood pressure, constant fatigue, anemia, and unbearable headaches with even the smallest temperature changes… her body seemed to resist her at every step. Alone, away from her family, she turned to quick fixes and junk food. The comfort was temporary, but the toll on her health was real.
Priyanka grew up in an environment where going to the gym wasn’t encouraged… especially for women. In fact, she often heard discouraging remarks: “Admi jaisi body ban jayegi” (you’ll look like a man). “Ladki hai, gym karke kya karegi?” (you’re a girl, why do you need the gym?).
The Turning Point
For many, these words would have been enough to stop them in their tracks. But something in her refused to accept that fate. Curiosity pushed her into a gym. And for the first time, just when she was seeing some progress, the lockdown closed the doors. Until she came across FITTR.
She decided to enroll under a FITTR coach. With structured coaching and the right guidance, Priyanka achieved an incredible transformation. From 47 to 60 kgs, she built muscles and regained her strength, rebuilding her health and confidence. Her health problems disappeared, and she felt stronger than ever.
She even competed in ICN India and won Bronze in Bikini Model, Silver in Sports Model, and the Street Model category!
Passion to Pursue, as a Coach
By then, fitness wasn’t just a routine anymore; she wanted to help others as a mentor. She wanted to guide others who were stuck where she once was. That’s when she chose the INFS Diploma in Nutrition and Fitness.
What helped her the most were the study resources… comprehensive theory notes, interactive live sessions, and detailed video recordings. These not only prepared her for the certification exam but also gave her the clarity and confidence needed for interviews. She mentioned the Free Training Program (FTP), where she worked closely with mentees, taught her how to apply that learning in real-life scenarios. Most importantly, it helped her strengthen communication skills, cultivate empathy, and develop the ability to guide people in building sustainable habits.
Standing Tall as a Certified Nutrition and Fitness Coach
From being bullied and told she couldn’t, to proving she absolutely could, she now stands as an example for women who want to break barriers. Her journey reminds us that transformation isn’t just about the body… It’s about spirit. It’s about turning every “no” into fuel, every doubt into determination. And perhaps, it’s about having the courage to begin, even when the world says you shouldn’t.
Her story belongs to every woman who has ever been told to “stay in her place,” every person who has ever doubted their strength, and every soul who felt too weak to fight back.
So here’s to Priyanka, and to every woman who turns self-doubt into self-belief, pain into power, and hesitation into action. May her journey light the path for many more to come.
