Stronger Than Yesterday: How One Hike Changed Everything

Sometimes, it’s not the big life events that change us—it’s the small moments. A hike that feels harder than it should. Or, a simple photo where you barely recognize yourself. These quiet moments often carry loud messages.

Most of us keep pushing through, telling ourselves we’ll “get to it later.” But for a few people, these moments become the spark that starts something powerful. Not a quick fix. Not a crash diet. But a real transformation—a journey toward strength, health, and self-belief.

One such story is that of INFS scholar Shreya Singh, whose turning point began with something as simple as a tiring office hike.

 

A Trip That Opened Her Eyes

Hi, my name is Shreya. Back then, I was 22. Young, ambitious, and working hard. When our office planned a hiking trip, I signed up immediately. I imagined myself climbing easily, laughing with teammates, enjoying the view from the top.

But that’s not what happened.

Halfway through the hike, I couldn’t keep up. I felt completely exhausted, breathless, and drained. Everyone else moved ahead while I struggled to catch up. I had never felt so helpless in my own body.

That day, I realized I needed to take control of my health. I didn’t want to feel that way ever again.

 

Taking the First Steps

I started small. I joined a gym. Nothing fancy. No strict diets or complicated plans—just a decision to start. In the beginning, it wasn’t easy. But I showed up. Day after day. Slowly, I began to feel better. Stronger.

Soon, I came across FITTR online, and it changed everything. I finally had my answers! I followed the guidance, stayed consistent, and over time, I lost 20 kgs! I felt confident in my skin again. My clothes fit better. I looked younger. But more importantly, I felt like myself again.

 

Learning the Science With INFS

As I made progress, I began to wonder—why did certain foods work better for me? Why did specific workouts give better results? I wanted to know the science. I didn’t want fads. I wanted to understand what was happening in my body. So I decided to enroll in INFS Diploma in Nutrition And Fitness.

It gave solid, science-backed knowledge in fitness and nutrition. It helped me go beyond just doing—I learned how to coach, explain, and guide others. What helped me most were the live lectures and classroom sessions. The faculty broke things down in such a practical way that I could immediately apply the knowledge to real-life situations.

 

How I Prepared for Exams and FTP

I attended all live lectures, listened carefully, and took notes. I read for hours, studied research papers, and wrote everything down in my own words to truly understand it.

I was also part of a small WhatsApp group with fellow scholars. We discussed concepts, asked questions, and supported each other through every challenge. It wasn’t just about passing an exam—it was about becoming the kind of coach I once needed.

 

Stronger and Healthier Than Yesterday

Today, I stand here as a proud FITTR Coach. I’m not just 20 kg lighter. I’m healthier, wiser, and happier. I’m building a career where I can help others find their way, too.
