As women, we often wear many hats—caregiver, professional, mother, wife, friend. In the process of managing everything, one hat often slips off quietly: the one labeled “self.” For many, health and fitness become distant priorities as life piles on responsibilities. But what if that quiet voice within, the one that whispers “I want more,” was finally heard
This is the story of a woman who listened to that voice, not in her 20s, not when life was at its most flexible, but after two decades of professional service, motherhood, and health struggles.
A Childhood Dream, Put on Hold
Dr. Prachi Nora Raj grew up admiring her mother, a Table Tennis champion whose athletic spirit left a lasting impression on her. Watching her mother train and compete lit a spark in young Prachi. She dreamed of being just as fit, just as disciplined, and just as strong.
But as she stepped into adulthood, the demands of life began to pull her in other directions. A practicing dentist for over 20 years, she also took on the roles of homemaker and mother. Like many women juggling demanding careers and family life, Prachi placed her own health at the bottom of the list.
Slowly, the toll began to show. Her weight reached 84 kgs, and her body didn’t feel like her own anymore. And she wasn’t just battling the weight on the scale, postpartum struggles, exhaustion, and body image concerns compounded everything. She tried to manage it—joining the gym and attempting to make healthier choices—but deep down, she knew something was missing.
It wasn’t a lack of will. It wasn’t about laziness. It was about the need for the right guidance!
Finding That Missing Piece—And So Much More
Prachi had been quietly observing FITTR for a while—watching transformations, reading stories, and learning from a distance. One day, something clicked. She realized that if she wanted different results, she had to take a different approach. So she signed up with a FITTR coach.
With expert guidance and a structured plan, she embraced strength training, tracked her nutrition, and committed to the journey. She found herself again.
The scale eventually read 48 kgs, but the true milestone was her mindset. Her dedication even led her to compete in TC 17, placing as the first runner-up, right alongside her daughter.
Facing Health Challenges Head-On
Just when it seemed like she had regained control, another challenge came in. Prachi had been living with diastasis recti—a separation of abdominal muscles that often occurs postpartum—and a unilateral bulge that was later diagnosed as a gestational hernia.
It was serious. Surgery became necessary. But instead of letting it affect her progress, she saw it as a stepping stone. She wanted not just to improve her health but to dive deep into fitness education. This led her to enroll in the INFS Diploma in Nutrition and Fitness.
The diploma gave her more than just knowledge—it gave her confidence. She started seeing fitness not just as her journey but as her purpose. She wanted to guide others the way she had been guided.
A Coach, A Mentor, A Role Model
Today, Dr. Prachi Nora Raj is a certified FITTR coach. She continues to inspire not just through her story, but through her actions. As a mother, a healthcare professional, and a fitness coach, she embodies the balance so many women strive for.
To every woman who’s buried her dreams under school runs, sleepless nights, and sacrifice—this is your sign.
To every professional who’s poured years into others while forgetting to invest in themselves—this is your wake-up call.
And to every mom who’s looked in the mirror and thought, “Where did I go?”—the answer is: you’re still there. And like Prachi, you can rise stronger than ever.
Because fitness isn’t just about transformation—it’s about reclamation. Of your body. Your voice. Your life.
