Healthy Mind: Fitness Mantra

I recently saw a video of Prof. BM Hegde associated with Health, and I so greatly agree with his thoughts that I seriously wanted to share his thoughts. Thanks to the Institute of Nutrition and Fitness Sciences for this opportunity to write a blog on it. Hope this blog can motivate somebody.

What is Health and when do you say you are healthy?

If you see the practical explanation of health, then good health means the absence of diseases. But, in the current day, every one of us has one/two diseases. It implies no one is completely healthy among us. So, if you want to know whether you are healthy or not then you need to follow the below explanation of Health shared by Prof. BM Hegde: “If you have the enthusiasm to work, enthusiasm to compassionate, you are healthy”. It means if you have the enthusiasm to do your work and you feel happy doing it, you can say you are healthy. In the morning if you ask yourself Do you want to do your work? Do you want to be compassionate? And if you get yes as an answer from yourself, it means you are healthy.

There is one practical thing which I have done with myself and that is a fact for me now. One day, I thought I am having a fever when I was having no sign of fever, no body ache, nothing. I was deliberately feeling lazy and feverish. Guess what, I literally got a fever that day. On that day, I got the element behind that whole situation and yes it was my “Brain”. So, after that day I always try to feel healthy despite having any health problem. I am a mother of 2 and have been through 2 c-sections and have a lot of health problems. But yes, the pain never let my passion or enthusiasm down.

So, I would say all of us are having at least one or two health-related problems, but try not to feel them too much, do not talk about them too much that your brain just listens to that only. Try to have a healthy mind where your body feels active, and you feel to move around.

I remember at the time of my first delivery, I was 98 kgs and thought that this weight will never go. My body had no energy, but I tried to feel energetic from inside. Which resulted in my body being more active. I tried to indulge myself in daily chores. And I started reducing my weight. Now I am at 67 Kgs and I feel more confident and more powerful.

What all can help?

Walking – Walking helps for sure. It makes you feel less fatigued and helps you to be more powerful and balanced.

Eating – Avoid overeating. This will for sure make your body less powerful and lethargic. You can eat anything, but you should not overeat. Do not eat when you do not feel hungry.

Healthy Mind – This is where the Mantra stays. A healthy mind creates a healthy body. A healthy mind can cure a lot of diseases. Your own body can cure your pains. A simple medicine can cure your problem if you have faith in it. Try to have faith in your immune system, say the mantra: “My immune system is strong enough for this”.

It’s better late than never– I have written a small poem, in the hope that someone will get some motivation from it

Better late than never,

That’s the vastly amazing impression ever.

You can come back, in any weather.

Flatten your wings, with your feather.

Exhibit the zeal, which was in you from forever,

By plopping your enthusiasm and happiness all together.

Sometimes we may require to be a good stretcher,

You need to crave to do, a little bit further better.

Internal contentment and satisfaction are the indicators of living a successor,

Your own sights must be continuing to glimpse that, just read her.

No comparison of your simplicity ever,

Just persist with your authenticity forever.

You require to glide the ladders of achievement, Wherever,

Don’t be afraid to collapse, however.

If you will never attempt, you will not realize it ever,

Life will lend you several reasons to be discouraged, it’s a bit clever.

This poem is dedicated to all those ladies who are wanting to change. The proverb ” Better late than never” gives birth to an extremely intense significance. It implies that it is better to do something even after the expected period so that you won’t regret not doing it.

So, let’s start getting and giving education for a better healthy mind and try to follow the way of a healthy mind.

Thank You
